Twilight Twitches

Twilight Twitches

Thirteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time
Dear Family,

When Msgr. Jim asked me a month ago to write this Sunday’s Twitch, I had a second of panic because I go brain-dead in front of a microphone or a keyboard. But I realized that I should just let the Holy Spirit do the talking. During my prayer, the Comforter sent me a thought. I wasn’t asked because I personally have any great wisdom to impart; I was asked solely because I am President of the St. Sebastian Council of Catholic Women (SSCCW). I stand with 80 brilliant, compassionate, talented women using our diverse talents to do God’s will.

Twelfth Sunday of Ordinary Time
Dear Family,

Monsignor asked me to write a “Twitch” for the bulletin while he is away on vacation. Of course I said, “No problem.” But little did I know that this is not an easy task. There is so much to say, but where do I start and finish? First and foremost, I am a CATHOLIC and proud of it. I’m also an active member of St. Sebastian Parish and proud of it. This Parish has meant a lot to me to help me continue to try to be a better Catholic.

Eleventh Sunday of Ordinary Time
Dear Family,

While Monsignor Jim is on vacation we have had two priests cover in his absence. We are also experiencing some of our fellow parishioners trying to fill this page for Monsignor's "Twilight Twitches." This is hard to do (and I speak from a couple years of trying) because twilight is such a fleeting moment and getting good ideas for this space takes hours! Since Trinity Sunday has recently passed I am going to credit/blame the Holy Spirit for my ideas.
